Each “Bee” sculpture has been individually designed by a different artist and painted with a special blend that withstands outdoor conditions. These sculptures are long lasting and gorgeous. In addition, a book discussing the project and each artist is available (see below).
Funds generated through “Bee” sales support greatly needed scholarships for local high school students, educational programming, community projects, and the artists who created these wonderful sculptures. Your support is greatly appreciated!

You may pick up your Bee in person (email Deby Childress: info@beecavearts.foundation); you may have your Bee delivered within Travis County (professional mover with art handling experience, fee of $250 includes lifting your Bee to and from the vehicle and you would pay the mover upon delivery); or you may have your Bee packed, insured and shipped to a physical address (professional shipping service fee involved). No refunds will be issued. Thank you!
Our thanks go to Cis Dickson for her inspiration, Cheryl Latimer for creating the design and building the small clay Bee model, Chris Olson at Global Mariner for the fabrication of the Bees, Robert Childress for the hours of prep work, Kelly Moore Paints for their partnership, all the artists, and the Hill Country Galleria for hosting the outdoor display. This is another perfect example of everyone working together to bring public art to the community!
